You will receive the commissioned artwork in full after, and ONLY after, the following terms have been met:

You have discussed commission, in private, and in full detail with me, this means;

The proper reference images have been provided.

Payment has been agreed to, paid and recieved by the artist.

The commissioner keeps in relatively fast communication with me throughout the process.

The WIPs, if any, have been approved (at the sketch stage, lineart stage, and base colours stage).

Payment has been made in FULL.

All formats needed for the commission have been specified to the artist.

Once the previous terms have been fully met, you will recieve the following:

High resolution images of the commission in any format you may need or want.

Any alternate variations of the image available.

Transparent versions of the image.

Any requested format for the image.

(If purchased with commercial use) Promotional and professional looking versions of the commissioned image.

ONLY IF REQUESTED: The original PSD file used to create the artwork + Permission to edit the image using the PSD as a base.

Regarding character design commissions or adoptables exclusively:

ONLY IF REQUESTED: The original PSD file used to create the artwork + Permission to edit the layers in the PSD.

(If commercial use is purchased separately): The legal right to create merchandise & profit financially from the character design.

Payment expected within 24hrs.

Payments are only in USD & via PayPal.

Payment may not be in the form of gifts or services.

DA Point Commissions are not, and will never be open unless separately discussed terms of service are agreed to.

USD commissions will take priority over DA points commissions.

Do not send money until I approve the commission.

Commissioner can re-upload the image with credits given to myself in the form of a link to my social media (Linktr.ree, twitter, Instagram or DA). MUST be a link.

Artwork cannot be used commercially, unless express permission was given by me BEFORE the commission is started.

If the commissioned artwork is to remain private between commissioner and commissionee, this must be discussed BEFORE the commission is started, and there will be an added fee.

Commercial Artwork (for Ads, merch, promo images, etc.) will have an additional charge.

You may never claim art as your own original work.

Refunds will NOT be available once the artwork is started.

BY ORDERING ANY NSFW/18+ ART YOU ARE CONFIRMING THAT YOU ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

You will not file a chargeback through your bank or paypal once artwork is started. This is not a way to get a refund.

You agree to pay an additional fee/charge for any changes made after the commissioned artwork has started and or the WIP's have been approved

Failure to follow these terms may end with you completely blacklisted from commissioning me AND multiple other artists.

Any character designs purchased from me may be used in any personal way the buyer chooses to. This includes the right to use the character to create NSFW, gore, political works etc.

Buyer has the right to change, recreate, redesign, or edit the character design that was sold to you.

You MUST inform me if the character's ownership is transferred for any reason, as well as the username/name of the new owner.

Buyer has the right to sell, trade, dispose of, or gift the character design to anyone you so choose to.

The artist removes all rights to the ownership of the character BUT retains rights to the artwork I have made of the character.

Marurei, the artist, retains the right to use the any art they create of the character in any social media posts, promotional material, or as examples to future commissioners / customers.

The client has my permission to repost the artwork wherever they would like, as long as proper credit is given (a link back to my DeviantArt page) and my watermark/signature remains intact and unaltered.

Altering my artwork in any way without asking for permission beforehand, with the exception of cropping/resizing the image for an icon or other use.

Use my artwork as references for your own, whether tracing or repurposing parts of the image.

Claiming the artwork as your own.

If the commission is cancelled be the artist due to emergency or other such reasons before work has started, then the client will receive a full refund.

If the commissioner cancels for any reason before work has started, then the artist may keep up to 15% (up to a max fee of $30 USD) of the original price as a cancellation fee.

If the client cancels the commission after the commission is started, they may not be entitled to a refund.

No refunds will be given after the first WIP is sent to the customer.

The artist reserves the right to cancel a commission at anytime, for any reason, and without explanation.

Client must provide at least one clear and concise visual reference; please supplement the visual reference with any important information I may need to know to correctly draw the character.

The character reference MUST have all details shown on it. No saying "Heres the reference, but please make her dress have more buttons, change the colour, etc."

If you link to a gallery of your character’s artwork, I cannot promise your design will be done with 100% accuracy. Design interpretations may be inconsistent between images and lessen my ability to accurately draw your character. Shading on potential pieces will also play a part in this.

Toyhou.se profiles will also be acceptable references.

Client must provide at least a dozen images, with VERY clear messages on what exactly they're looking for.

Client understands that the use of stock images, photographs, 3D renders and other such tools may be used in addition to my own art.

Client has read the "How to Commission Guide" available on my page if they are unsure how to commission properly.

To create an image based on the characters you provide, I am happy to match a scene or pose that you have in mind, but please allow and expect some variation. This will help me provide you with a much higher quality image.

Before commission is started, you MUST tell me a hard deadline you need it by, if any.

A fee may be requested if the deadline is less than a month away/is very strict.

If no hard deadline is given, there will be no refunds given for the reason of "Its taking too long". I understand you may be excited for your art to be completed, but your art is not the only thing I have to complete.

Small commissions may take between 1-2 weeks to complete. Large commissions can range from 1-6 months. You will need to talk to me about when you are expecting the commission to be done, otherwise I will prioritise commissions with hard deadlines!

Set realistic expectations for me - no commission will have a draft done the day after.

Small commissions may not have (or require to have) any WIPs approved for commissions.

Larger commissions, such as any fully rendered artworks, background artworks, Vtuber art, animations, etc. will have quite a few WIPs to be approved before completion.

WIPs of the commissioned artwork will be sent in stages, and completion of the artwork may be paused until the WIP is approved.

If the commission type includes a sketch approval stage, any major changes or revisions must be made at this stage; this includes any significant changes to a character’s pose or body shape, or redrawing parts of the image. Major changes cannot be done after this stage, unless you re-commission the entire artwork.

After the sketch has been approved, no major edits or changes will be made. If the commissioner requests additional edits after the approved sketch, a price for the edits may be discussed.

If I, the artist, make any errors in the character design, accessories, or any other visual elements specified in the provided visual references, I will make these edits at no additional cost.

I keep a hardcopy record of all artwork created by me, though these copies are subject to damage. If you lose the file of your image, it may be unrecoverable on my end. I am not liable to the artwork being lost to time, and you will recieve no refund upon losing it.
